Overview
For its New Year's Eve celebration with David Guetta, Fontainebleau partnered with CrowdPass to introduce RFID-based access control across a highly complex event environment. With seven distinct ticket types and six different access zones ranging from Family and General Admission to Stage access, CrowdPass delivered an end-to-end solution covering ticket orders, fulfillment, and on-site access management — streamlining operations while elevating the guest experience.
Execution
Ahead of the event, Fontainebleau provided an order manifest to the CrowdPass team. Each RFID wristband was paired to its corresponding ticket purchase within the CrowdPass system, ensuring accuracy and significantly reducing on-site workload. For attendees selecting will call pickup, the will call team was trained and equipped with iPhones running the CrowdPass mobile app. Wristbands were paired and activated in real time, allowing guests to enter the event without delay.

Access Control & Security
On event day, CrowdPass CrowdReaders were deployed at key access points throughout the venue to prevent unauthorized entry into restricted or ticketed areas. Each CrowdReader was configured to recognize which of the seven wristband types were permitted at each location. To ensure reliable performance throughout the event, CrowdReaders were connected with Poe to provide stable internet connectivity and consistent power. This infrastructure enabled uninterrupted access control during peak entry periods.
Impact
By partnering with CrowdPass, Fontainebleau successfully implemented RFID access control for their New Year's Eve event with seven ticket tiers and multiple access zones. The combination of advance fulfillment, real-time activation, and zone-based access control delivered a secure, seamless, and elevated experience for both guests and event staff.
